De Takomst
Hidden behind an unassuming facade, the Takomst (Fries for: the Future) provides an oasis of calm and comfort. A beautiful and sustainable holiday home for 10 people. You have the unique opportunity to be among the IJlsters.
ARCHITECTURE
De Takomst was designed by Jan Giezen (Artes, Groningen) and realized by Koos Klapwijk (Klapwijk Holzbau, Heeg) on behalf of a passionate lover of architecture and environmentally friendly materials. At first glance, the apartment fits into the patron saint of the historic building in IJlst, at the same time it is clearly distinguished by contemporary discoveries and refinements. De Takomst is built following the principle “form follows function”. This becomes clear, for example, with the ceiling support beams. These are not a nostalgic element but simply supporting beams in the intermediate corridor. Almost exclusively reused materials are used in the construction.
SUSTAINABLE ENERGY MANAGEMENT
De Takomst thanks its name to the beautiful, technical heart. In the back of the garage you can see how this heart beats. On the roof of the kitchen you can see how this heart is supplied with energy. Various energy modules provide heating and tap water. If the sun doesn’t provide enough energy, the heat pumps – four at a depth of 120 meters! – take over this function silently. Electricity is provided by solar energy and the ventilation system is based on the principle of heat recovery. De Takomst has no gas connection and is largely energy autonomous.
INTERIOR
De Takomst is furnished with high quality furniture. The focus is not so much on the degree to which the furniture is tenant-proof, but rather on beauty. Also enjoy the monumental artwork of Claudy Jongstra, she is represented in top locations worldwide.
NEIGHBOURS
De Takomst is not part of a holiday park, but stands in the middle of a residential area. Partly inhabited by people who have lived on “Uilenburg” for decades. We see it as a great privilege to welcome you in our community for a while.
